Modern politics, old fashioned ideas

Isn't it amazing that in this modern era politicians can think of no new ideas. Every time there is a crisis, the answer is to raise more taxes from the, already, overburdened British taxpayer. Maybe the goverment ought to look to itself for the solutions. Do we need such a massive goverment to run the country? Do we need so many MP's. So many councillors in local goverment. Do we even need so many local councils. Do we need so many m.e.p.'s. If we stripped the goverment down to a more reasonable size, how would the deficit look then.

In these modern times most companies employ less people as the computer has made people more efficient. Funny that it has escaped goverment entirely who employ more than ever at our great expence.
